Eastern Maine Community College’s Katahdin Higher Education Center Announces “The Art of Katahdin” Painting Nights


EAST MILINOCKET – The Katahdin Higher Education Center at Eastern Maine Community College and the University of Maine at Augusta are pleased to announce another series of our “The Art of Katahdin” painting sessions. A creative opportunity to inspire community bonds, create good art and good vibes, showcasing the natural beauty of the Katahdin area.

Our qualified instructor, Laura Manzo, will take you step by step through creating your own masterpiece – no prior artistic experience is required. At the end of the night, you will come out with your own masterpiece. Each student will be encouraged to find their own style. Each class includes all supplies, a great opportunity to have fun, network and inspire to bring out your artistic abilities. These classes will take place in a relaxed atmosphere that promotes interaction, creativity, self-expression and stress reduction.

Classes are scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday March 16 and Tuesday April 13. Call 207-746-5741 today to register and reserve your spot, as spaces are limited. The Katahdin Center for Higher Education at Eastern Maine Community College and the University of Maine at Augusta is an off-campus center in the Katahdin area where people can take classes, earn degrees and receive all the support they want. need to obtain a degree close to home and on a schedule suited to their family and professional life. Classes are taught by teachers on site, online or by two-way videoconference. Academic counseling, Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA), tutoring, study skills workshops, computer access, library services, and student activities are available to help support individual student success.
